So Many Cool Things About CoolSculpting

By: Dr. Craig Crippen

The fat-freezing procedure known as CoolSculpting is only growing in popularity. And I, for one, couldn’t be happier about it. I’m sure we’ve all heard horror stories about people who have gone under the knife for fat-removal surgeries such as liposuction. And while I won’t repeat them here, it does deserve to be repeated that safety should always come first, no matter the treatment.

Who wants to scar themselves anyways? If there was a way for you to lose that annoying stubborn fat around your waist without being cut open, wouldn’t you be curious about it? It’s not a dream people – it’s a reality. CoolSculpting freezes fat cells so that your body can remove them on its own. This process uses a cooling device rather than a knife. Again – safety first.

The summer is here. So if you haven’t begun working on your new body, there is no better time than now to slim down. Naturally, maintaining a healthy diet and getting plenty of exercise are key components to keeping a slim and firm figure. But these activities don’t always work the same for everyone. That’s why it’s called “stubborn fat”.

Dr. Mathew Avram describes how CoolSculpting eliminates stubborn fat in a video on the CoolSculpting website. It “targets and cools fat cells to temperatures that trigger their natural death,” he explains, “Importantly, because lipids and fat crystallize faster than normal cells, there is no damage to nerves or other tissue.”

Over the course of a couple of months, the overall fat layers are reduced as the body continues to naturally dispose of the frozen fat cells. Dr. Elizabeth Tanzi notes, however, that CoolSculpting isn’t necessarily for everyone. It’s important to get yourself down to a safe size and weight before undergoing the procedure.

It is not recommended for the obese. Says Dr. Tanzi, “the ideal candidates for CoolSculpting are those people that have stubborn pockets of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise.” In other words, diet and exercise are always first lines of defense against an unhealthy weight.

CoolSculpting comes in to take your size down to an even firmer and more slender level, when diet and exercise are no longer doing the trick. You know what else is awesome about CoolSculpting? The procedures are unbelievably quick. Dr. Tanzi elaborates upon this in the website video.

“Patients can have it performed on their lunch hour and go right back to work,” she explains. For more information, please contact a licensed physician or health specialist. It’s time to get your body back. And CoolSculpting helps you to do that in the absolute safest way possible.
